摘要
The scouring dynamics of the seabed due to the presence of a vertical pile is very important for the design of marine structures. In this work, the focus is the simulation on the case where scour erosion around a cylinder is uniquely due to the non-linear wave propagation. This non-linear wave, displaying asymmetric and skewed profiles, is transported by keeping its shape as an inflow wave train. To this aim, a three-dimensional unstructured finite-volume technique is used to solve Navier-Stokes equations numerically. The σ-transformation is applied to the vertical coordinate to fit the computing mesh in describing the evolution of the free surface and mobile bed. The morphodynamic model includes Exner-Polya and bedload transport equations. Wave propagation, velocity profile, and dynamic of seabed morphology near the cylinder over an entire wave phase are present. Comparisons of scour depth and shape between numerical results and experiments are also carried out.
