摘要
This paper argues that the accelerating integration of artificial intelligence into military and digital environments is generating a crisis of moral and cognitive disengagement on a civilizational scale. Drawing on Bandura’s theory of moral disengagement, it shows how drone warfare, autonomous systems, and algorithmic interfaces enable the diffusion of responsibility, the sanitization of violence through euphemistic language, and the erosion of accountability under international humanitarian law. Yet the paper also challenges the assumption that technological mediation produces emotional distance: clinical evidence on drone operators instead reveals immersive trauma, moral injury, and a paradoxical form of active moral engagement that hyper-technologized warfare intensifies rather than eliminates. Building on this, the paper examines the strategic consequences of automation in contemporary conflict. It explores China’s development of robotic warfare and cognitive deterrence as well as the proliferation of drone capabilities among non-state actors, arguing that autonomous and semi-autonomous systems increasingly function as tools of psychological warfare as much as kinetic force. Finally, the paper contends that Technical Intelligence cannot replace Human Intelligence: in asymmetric warfare, only human presence, contextual judgement, and cognitive opacity can provide the interpretive depth required to understand intentions, navigate irregular conflict, and preserve strategic resilience.
