摘要
The AlCrTiSiVN coatings with different V contents were prepared by a combined method of arc ion plating and magnetron sputtering, and the effect of V on the microstructure and properties of the coatings was investigated. The results showed that all coatings were mainly composed of fcc-CrN, fcc-AlN, and Ti5Si4 phases. With increasing V content, the surface roughness first decreased and then increased. The coating containing 3.6% V exhibited the best surface quality and the densest structure. Both first-principles calculations and experimental results demonstrated that the coating with 3.6% V had the optimal mechanical properties. As the temperature increased, the average friction coefficient and wear rate first increased and then decreased. With increasing V content, the average friction coefficient and wear rate first decreased and then increased, and the S3 coating showed the lowest average friction coefficient and wear rate. At room temperature and 400 °C, the coatings mainly underwent abrasive wear and slight adhesive wear; at 400 and 600 °C, the wear mechanisms were mainly abrasive wear, oxidative wear, and adhesive wear. In cutting H13 steel and TC4 titanium alloy, the AlCrTiSiVN coating exhibited superior performance. By improving lubricity, the AlCrTiSiVN coating effectively reduced cutting temperature and cutting force, inhibited adhesion, enhanced machining stability, and improved machined surface quality.
