摘要
Flat linear induction pumps feature non-mechanical-contact operation and are well suited for high-temperature liquid-metal transport. However, strong coupling among electromagnetic thrust, input power, and flow-channel structural parameters makes it difficult to achieve an overall high-performance design through conventional single-parameter analysis. In this study, a two-dimensional finite-element model is developed for a double-sided flat linear induction pump using liquid sodium. The model accounts for the actual coil electrical circuit, motion-induced Lorentz force in the liquid sodium, and hydraulic losses in the flow channel. Coil turns, operating frequency, liquid-sodium channel thickness, and pump-wall thickness are selected as design variables, and particle swarm optimization is employed for multi-parameter optimization. A surrogate-model-based search, local parameter refinement, and independent finite-element verification are combined to determine the optimized design under prescribed engineering constraints. At a flow rate of 1.1 m³/h and a target net pressure rise of 50 kPa, the optimized design reduces the input power by approximately 14.98% compared with the baseline case, while the net efficiency increases by approximately 17.62% to 9.74%. The results demonstrate that multi-parameter coordinated optimization can effectively improve the energy utilization performance of flat linear induction pumps, and the proposed method provides a useful reference for the parameter design and optimization of liquid-metal electromagnetic pumps.
